About this beast

This is a unique Porsche 914, VIN #47429179744 , built in the Porsche factory on April of 1974. It has been professionally built to GT Factory specifications with a 2.4L Porsche 911 6 cylinder Air cooled engine, with "S" heads, race cams, new  Webber (PMO) dual carburetors and electromotive crank-fire ignition producing around 300 hp at the rear wheels with 84mm bore. This car was owned by Jimmy Johnson (The Nascar Driver) but never race by him because the sponsors didn't like the idea to drive it on a track for fun while getting paid by them. Therefore, he decided to sell it and I bought from him.

This Porsche 914-6 GT clone received; a fresh engine with new engine mounts and cylinder heads, brakes, the transmission was rebuilt, a front mount oil cooler, a new Patrick Racing aluminum tank, a 70.4 911 S crank and a new Patrick Racing clutch package. The work has been done by a Porsche Racing Specialist (All documented). This car is very fast and also very easy to drive. It has only been driven in 2 Vintage rallies since its restoration.

THE BEAST has; Porsche 914 new bilstein shocks,Porsche 911 brake system with 911 drilled disc, rear vented rotors and 911 calipers  to bring this beast to a stop. The entire system has an adjustable brake bias from the driver's seat. 4 speed manual 911 gearbox with new half shafts and starter. There are steel underbody reinforcements to increase the structural integrity of the body to withstand the extreme horse power and side loads. A full cage with NASCAR impact bars on the driver's side that was created by the NASCAR Research & Development Center, the same people that help Jeff Gordon's NASCAR team.

THE BEAST has; a Fuel Safe cell, Phoenix fire system, Racing seats, a Willians racing harness with rear Plexiglas windshield. This includes steel 914-6 GT fender flares that can accommodate the larger 15 X 9 and 15 X 8 OEM Fuchs wheels. Bilstein coil over shocks with 245 lb rear springs, 23mm front torsion bars, adjustable Weltmeister front sway bar, 23mm Master brake cylinder with Metal braided lines all around to stop this 2200 lb 914-6 GT. A new up to date fuse box for easy fuse replacement while driving so nothing stops you from driving. Handmade Stainless Steel headers by a custom shop in California. Fuel pump switch on/off and Fire button connected to a fire extinguisher in case the engine gets on fire for safety, custom dash with Auto Meter tack, oil temp, cylinder temp gauges. The car is wired for radios with antenna. It has modified rear trailing arms, front brake air-ducts, 5 panel wink mirror and new half-shafts. Best of all, you can drive this Beast on the open road because it has a license plate, registration card and passed all State Inspections (and / or) you can drive it as a vintage race car in the 2.5L vintage class on weekends. This car complies with all vintage racing rules and has a strong racing pedigree.

This Porsche 914-6 GT Clone has been built by a Porsche professional that races himself. There are over $100k in documented receipts that makes it what it is today. If you try to build one to GT Rally specifications today you will see why these cars cost well over $200k in the Hagerty price guide, on hemmings.com or other online car portals.

It accelerates, brakes, handles, performs and SOUNDS like the real Porsche 914-6 GT. If you are not familiar with what a 914-6 GT is you can browse 914-6 GT under the IMAGES category to see what they look like or go to YouTube to see them and listen to them roar.

I am a private collector in the USA. I can see collectors and car guys realize the price of these Porsche's are a bargain.

This is the sound of: THE BEAST
